Allene Curto Annual MASFAA Conference Award
MASFAA is proud to announce an annual Conference award in honor of Allene Curto, who was a beloved and dedicated member of the financial aid community.
The Allene Curto Annual MASFAA Conference Award will provide free full registration and hotel room (up to 2 nights) for one MASFAA member who would not otherwise be able to attend the conference each year.
Allene Begley Curto
During her career as a financial aid administrator at Springfield College, Allene contributed to MASFAA in countless ways—serving on committees, presenting at conferences, and sharing her expertise and outgoing personality throughout the association. Allene is also remembered for her commitment to expanding access to professional development. She established an annual scholarship to allow a MASFAA member who might not otherwise have had the opportunity to attend conference.
Eligibility:
Applicants for the award must be currently active MASFAA members, who would otherwise n ot be able to attend the annual conference. Preference will be given to applicants who have not attended the conference in the past two years.Preference will also be given to applicants who have not previously received this award.
How to Apply:
The application will become available on the MASFAA website when registration for the annual conference opens, typically in September. Applicants will be asked to certify that they would be unable to attend the conference without the assistance from this award.
