To recognize service to the financial aid profession

This is what our nominators, James and Lauren, had to say about the recipient:

We can think of no one more deserving than this person of such a prestigious honor. In our many years serving as both members and chairs of the Professional Development & Training Committee, we have experienced firsthand this person’s tireless and unending dedication to training financial aid officers on the rich complexities of tax policy and how that tax information impacts students’ eligibility for financial aid. Through his annual tax training workshops, visits to our annual conference, and his LinkedIn posts, he is a fixture of MASFAA and a key part of training for aid officers across the commonwealth. Over the past year, he helped us all analyze the ever-changing landscape of the new FAFSA. Despite the frustrations we all felt, this person guided us through the turbulent waters of change.  Throughout the years, he has been incredibly generous with his knowledge and with his time. He is endlessly patient and kind. We are lucky to count him as a friend and colleague. The world of financial aid is brighter because of him.
