Welcome

President's Welcome

Dear Colleagues,
I’m excited to welcome you to the start of the 2025–2026 academic year as the new President of MASFAA! I hope you were able to enjoy some time for yourself, your family, and your friends this summer. As we transition into the fall semester, I want to share how honored I am to serve this incredible community of financial aid professionals, who give so much of their time and heart to supporting each other and our students.

MASFAA shows what’s possible when people come together to share their knowledge, experiences, and ideas. None of that happens without you—our members and volunteers—so thank you for everything you do.

At our Executive Council retreat, we began the thoughtful process of updating MASFAA’s Constitution, Bylaws, and Handbook. The Finance Committee has also been hard at work reviewing our budget and banking options to ensure our resources best support the work we do. All of these efforts are designed to make volunteering with MASFAA even easier and more impactful. Our members have always been one of our greatest strengths, and we want to keep building structures that let your expertise shine.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to build on the energy and effort our Executive Council and Committee Chairs put in this summer. This year, you can look forward to a phenomenal Annual Conference agenda, meaningful
opportunities for training and connection, and a continued focus on making sure every member feels supported and included. With the talent and dedication in this group, I know we’ll achieve great things.

I’m grateful to be on this journey with you, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!

With appreciation,
Mira Morgan
MASFAA President, 2025-2026
