MASFAA Presidential Award
To recognize outstanding service and time dedicated to MASFAA during the past year
This is what our nominators, Jill and Jeff, had to say about the recipient:
This person has been a vital member of MASFAA throughout her career. Most recently, she has served as MASFAA President in 2022-2023, Past President in 2023-2024, and is currently serving as MASFAA’s representative for EASFAA. She has been a long-time member and leader of the FAFSA Day committee, a MEFA presenter, and serves in member leader positions with the College Board. The work she has done to further student understanding of the financial aid process and improve access is just one hallmark of her professionalism.
Additionally, she is a dedicated to service to her community, is passionate about mentoring and positive leadership, and as a result has positively impacted the development of many financial aid administrators. She is dedicated to mentoring and so many people have benefited from her time and expertise. She has served as a mentor through EASFAA Connects and as faculty for Just the Facts training. Although her office and family keep her busy, she always makes time to give back to her community of professionals.
I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to bounce ideas off of her as we served together as President Elect and President, and I feel lucky to have gotten to know her during that time. Her advice is always sound and she manages to balance her amazing depth of regulatory knowledge with compassion and a sense of humor. We are fortunate to have her as a MASFAA member and to have benefited from her many hours of service.
We are proud to award the MASFAA Presidential Award to Amy Staffier from Simmons University!
