We seek a Future Financial Aid Supervisor to be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Future Financial Aid and Future Student Coordinator team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively participate in programs targeted to improve customer satisfaction and show rates.
  • Create/Analyze reports to ensure students are packaged, fully funded, missing documents are requested.
  • Improve Fully-Funded outcomes.
  • Supervise staffing, training, and performance of FFA and FSC staff.
  • Monitor performance and provide coaching/feedback regularly
  • Provide new employee training and ongoing employee training/development as needed.
  • Proactively address employee performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure employees complete assigned and scheduled tasks within assigned deadlines.
  • Supervise ongoing activities in FFA and FSC area.
  • Provide Leadership mentoring of those staff members who have self-identified or been identified as future leaders in the organization.
  • Ensure outgoing calls meet level requirements and incoming calls are answered promptly and professionally.
  • Audit files and/or processes monthly to ensure proper packaging and drive fully funded percentage.
  • Create staff appreciation for importance of Follow-up with students.
  • Provide assistance with calls or paperwork when needed as well as serve as the primary escalation point for customer issues.
  • Review and assist with NSLDS requests and Professional Judgment cases to ensure complete prior to submission to the Director.
  • Perform Quality Assurance on Verification Comparison Sheets completed by SLMA.
  • Supervise on-going activities in Future Student Services Financial Aid area.
  • Ensure great customer service is being offered to external and internal customers.
  • Continually look for innovative improvements to achieve departmental goals
  • Create and maintain a sense of "team" with campus FFA and FSC staff.
  • Improve rate of verification completion.
  • Creation of FSS Training Manual with FA management staff.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience or equivalent training and education.
  • 2 years experience in a student advising role in Financial Aid, Student Relations, or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential.
  • Knowledge of financial aid regulations.
  • Strong customer service aptitude.
  • Ability to speak to groups of students.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional decorum.
  • Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Word, Excel, and Access.
